This event took place on May 6 2007 at McClave Veterinary Hospital - 6950 Reseda Boulevard - Reseda, CA.
The McClave Veterinary Hospital organized the annual Pet Health Fair & Charity Dog Wash-a-Thon in conjunction with the National Pet Week. The fair welcomed every one, which include dogs if you use leashes. The cost admission was free. The host served a variety of food such as weenie roast, veggie dogs, turkey, and snow cones. They invited representatives from pet food & drug companies such as the makers of Science Diet and Frontline, Revolution to participate.
Some of the highlights during the fair include:
- The Los Angeles Animal Services Mobile Pet Adoption Unit showed a few lovely pets who were looking for new owners.
- The Ask the Vet booth offered to tag your pets with microchips at a discounted price.
- The children had their face painted after they made a finger puppet pet at the craft zone.
The Pet Fair featured their Eighth Annual Charity Dog Wash-a-Thon. The money collected on that day went to the Villalobos Rescue Center in Canyon Country. Their main objectives are to provide new homes for abused and abandoned Pit Bulls. Each dog participated in the Wash-a-Thon got a bath & towel dry for suggested donation of $10 to $15 per dog.
